Ghislaine Bréhé-Moomaw
Born in Bayeux, France I studied painting in Paris principally in the atelier of the French abstract expressionist Henri Goetz. I later became his assistant at the American School of Music and Art at the Palace of Fontainebleau in France (a Rockerfeller Foundation beneficiary).
Since coming to the United States and becoming an American citizen I have pursued additional studies in drawing, jewelry, and silversmithing. I have also worked in sculpture since 1990 as well as continuing to paint. I have exhibited at various galleries in Paris, Cannes, France, New York City, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. My work is in private and corporate collections.
The experience of raising my autistic child to adulthood has led me over the past fifteen years in creating programs in Drama and Arts and Crafts for adults with mental disabilities.
